Coronavirus: Former Vice President Joe Biden to launch fresh attack on Donald Trump’s handling of the crisis
Former Vice President Joe Biden will launch a fresh attack on Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday. The Democratic presidential candidate is due to speak at an event in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, as he works to build on his lead in national polls ahead of the November 3rd election. An aide has claimed Mr Biden will discuss the president’s "historic mismanagement" of the crisis, as the number of confirmed cases rises in many states. At least 2.6 million cases have been reported in the US, and more than 129,000 people have died, according to the Johns Hopkins University, which is tracking the virus.
