Visually-impaired former X-Factor contestant uses smart glasses to see daughter’s face in HD for first time

September 30, 2021

A former X Factor contestant has described as “magical” being able to see her daughter Ivy’s face clearly for the first time thanks to smart glasses by a British tech start-up.
That’s Kayley Storey, who was just 15 years old when she was diagnosed with rare Stargardt Disease, which affects the retina’s macula to reduce vision.
It was made possible with smart glasses by Oxsight, which includes face recognition to boost what the wearer is seeing. And what a great present for Kayley’s 33rd birthday.
