Former US vice-president Joe Biden has said he will not hold rallies while America continues to struggle to contain the spread of Covid-19. The country has the highest number of cases in the world - 2.6 million - and more than 127,000 people have died with the disease. The Democrat told reporters at a news conference in Delaware that he was "following the doc's orders" and added that it wasn't just for him, "but for the country". He also accused his rival Donald Trump, who’s held rallies attended by thousands in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Phoenix, Arizona – of "waving the white flag" as coronavirus cases surged nationwide.
