Coronavirus: England pubs may have to shut if schools are to reopen

English Pubs may have to shut in order for schools to reopen – that’s according to scientific experts.

New infections have risen recently in younger people.

Professor Graham Medley, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), said ministers might have to consider closing pubs in England in order for lessons to start again next month.

It comes as the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson decided to delay some easing of lockdown measures over the rise in new covid-19 cases.
