Boy, 9, runs from London to Paris and rows the Channel at home for national health service

July 1, 2020

A nine-year-old boy has successfully run the distance from London's Big Ben to the Eiffel Tower, to raise money for charity and says he might cycle the return trip next week. Josh Hall from Kent in England, also crossed the Channel on a rowing machine as part of his 212-mile virtual journey from London to Paris - which culminated with him jogging up and down his stairs to climb atop the French capital’s famous tower.

He started the challenge in mid-April, running 3.7 miles per day over three sessions in his garden, and in local green areas, completing the trip on Tuesday, some 75 days later. He’s been quoted as saying it was "difficult at the beginning", but that now he was "just shocked", saying he thought he was going to stop "somewhere in the Channel". So far, he's raised more than $1,200 dollars on his JustGiving page.
